Hello everyone and welcome to 2012!!!
As I write this email the sun is breaking through the clouds and the long term forecast is looking pretty good!! So hopefully all will be well for our first game of 2012. I’m sure everyone is looking forward to another great year. The first round is at Virginia Golf Club on Sunday 12 February, arrival at 6.40am for tee-off at 6.56am, our second earliest start for 2012!!
The address is Elliott Road, Virginia. The number for the Pro-shop is 3267 7057 if you wish to book a cart.
To get there follow the Gateway motorway north from the Sir Leo Hielscher Bridges (nee Gateway bridge). Approximately 9kms north of the Sir Leo Hielscher Bridges take the Nudgee exit (where the Shell Service Station is located). Approximately 100 metres after exiting you will reach a t-intersection, this is Nudgee Road. Turn right into Nudgee Road. This will lead you back to the Gateway Motorway (approximately 500 metres). Just before you reach the motorway, turn left into Childs Road. Follow Childs Rd for about 500 metres and you will reach the intersection of St Vincents Road. Turn left. Follow St Vincents Road for about 2 kilometres and turn right into Blizinger Road. Follow Blizinger Road (about 500 mteres) to the entrance of Virginia Golf Club. If you are heading in from the north, take the Nudgee Road exit and then turn right over the Motorway into Nudgee Road. Cross the bridge over the Motorway and immediately turn right into Childs Road. Follow the directions as above to Virginia. If you want to travel from the city, my best suggestion is to purchase a referdex or satnav, there are too many twists and turns to describe in this email!! From the city I estimate the drive time to be about 20 minutes (at that time of morning).
