St Lucia (SHIELD
Game) AUG 4th 2019
A field of 9 players for our yearly special event – The
shield game.(aka The "Phil Dawson Shield" - Ian)
A very chilly morning on the 1st tee greeted us
for the years Ambrose format shield game, some would say a chilly reception in
the pro shop as well, clearly the chap on the counter was not in a happy place
when we found him.
The course was decent for the public facility that it is and
hopefully you didn’t have to use the bunkers due to the game format as the
previous players of rounds over the weekend clearly didn’t understand the
concept of rakes.
Now I need to apologise to Karen, Ian and Ken. I stole your
second place spot by stuffing up my teams scorecard, I shall issue you balls
from my own stash when I see you next.

1st place on 56.2 nett
