McLeod game July 2019

A wet start and a long walk as we tee’d off on the 17^th made for an interesting opening.

After about 4 holes the rain stopped and we could get some wet weather gear off and swing the clubs with a bit more freedom.

Alas the roll of the ball was very restricted by the dampness of the course so carrying the ball to the target via the air was a much better option (I need lots of roll to get anywhere near some of the longer hitters/better players)

Overall it was a close contest with moderate scores (naturally) so thanks to the 7 who made the effort and came out on this challenging layout.

NTP on the 18^{th (second shot special)}  – Phil Dawson

Mens Long drive 9^th – Ian Smith

Ladies Long drive 9^th – Karen Greedy

1^st place on 35 points – Ian Smith

2^nd place on 33 points – Phil Dawson

3^rd place on 33 points – Paul Lockwood-Lee

Next game is to be the special TBA game for the shield – at St Lucia on the 4^th of August.
