Oxley Golf Club, June 14^th 2015

A very good turnout for the Oxley game, 22 players which is certainly the largest for a good few years, so thanks very much everybody.

Alas the golfing day was very very slow, some of us just managed to get home in time for the second half of the 2^nd state of origin game, due unfortunately to earlier social clubs under booking there numbers with the pro shop.

Apart from that I hope we all enjoyed the later tee off time and we did manage to avoid the rain to a great degree although it was a bit muggy at times.

Especially good to see the handicapper/treasurer back on board, if only we could remember his name? I’m glad he was taking it easy all day & just saved up for a pop at the longest drive (that’ll be another visit to the physio) 

One of the new members took out the big prize of the day (by some margin) so well done Paul W, don’t worry about trying to get on the podium again for a while though after the handicapper has gotten his mitts on you.

Mens Long drive 17^th – Ken Greedy

Ladies Long drive 17^th – Jane Mather

1^st place on 41 points – Paul Wellington

2^nd place on 35 points – Jane Mather  

3^rd place on 35 points – Phil Dawson

Next game is at Jimboomba Hills International on the 12^th July (tee off 7.26am)
