Mt Warren Park game 9th February 2014

16 turned out for Mt Warren game, a great start to the new season, thanks to all who turned out, including two new faces Peter & Regan (welcome) and some old ones returning from their NYC penthouse on 5^th Ave (hello again Mark)

I think the game flowed nicely with the only hold up being to call the dogs off Dan for his wayward shot on the 6^th, so thanks to everyone for making the effort to keep up with the group in front.

Suren having a couple of burn marks on his Srixons after his Tee shot & provisional both hit the wires on the 18^th + his ball being stuck in a tree (only about a metre above the ground) made for an entertaining round in the last group which I think helped with the tension & enabled me to have my best round for quite a while.

Karen & I said to each other before the game that we weren’t going to let anyone else in with a chance & low & behold we we’re right.

I suspect I may be looking at a slice in my handicap!

Next game is at McLeod on the 16^th of March at 7.06am. We shall this year’s AGM in April, so get ready to put your hands up if you wish to give the club a little of your time & effort. We will be voting (I gather for all positions as per usual and also taking votes on such
