Seven players for the misty Jimboomba layout, which soon turned out to a glorious Autumn day.

Some of us struggled today wayward tee’s poor chipping etc took their toll, but alternately some played really well and one played really really well.

I had one of those rare occasions where my modest tee shot got long drive, it always helps when everyone else misses the fairway, well done to Phil and Dave for the NTP’s there aren’t many easy par 3’s out at Hills.

Thanks to all who made it all the way out to Jimboomba. Now for the results:

NTP on the 13^th – Dave Coster

NTP on the 8^th – Phil Dawson

Mens Long drive 18^th – Paul Lockwood-Lee

Ladies Long drive 18^th – Karen Greedy

1^st place on 42 points – Karen Greedy (42 pts!)

2^nd place on 36 points – Dave Coster

3^rd place on 35 points – Mike O’Neill

(missing out on countback Phil Dawson also on 35pts)

Next game is up north for the hopefully dry Wantima on the 2^nd of June at 7.15am, hope to see as many as possible for that one.

8 Players for this game, weather was great, course was in very good condition. Most players had, I suspect, some poor shots but more importantly some good shots to keep you interested.

Good to have Ken and Karen back from their holiday and very pleasing to see Mike back for the first time in a while (almost back to top health, knees and backs eh! The bane of most golfers)

We’ve given two long drive balls out this time round as there was some conjecture as to whether one was in or out of the fairway cut (was hard to be sure in some patches) so benefit of the doubt was deemed appropriate.

Mens Long drive 12^th – Paul Wellington and Dave Coster. (?)

Ladies Long drive –Karen Greedy.

1^st place on 39 points – Paul Lockwood-Lee

2^nd place on 38 points – Ian Smith

3^rd place on 35 points – Dave Coster
