A good field of 17 players for Mt Warren Park, so many thanks to all those who attended.

A tale of two nines was the go for a lot of players I think, with our first nine (10-18) being greener, flatter & easier to score, if you managed to hold it together for our second nine (1-9) then you will have been pleased with your overall card I suspect.

The 7^th is always a doozie of a hole (long L/H dog leg with the power cables) but who nicked the fairway? Clearly they have a problem keeping the grass green & healthy on that one, although I can’t blame it for my troubles as I didn’t touch any part of the course for that hole.

Ladies Long drive 17^th – Not taken

1^st place on 41 points – Paul Wellington

2^nd place on 38 points – Dave Coster

Wantima game 13^th March 2016

Second game in & we struck some miserable weather, the on again off again rain and warm muggy conditions in-between, made for some, a difficult & trying day.

 Added to that the greens which had just been cored, you’d have expected some woeful points totals, but from what I saw some people handled it with aplomb.

Very nice to see the return of some of the very new players, we obviously didn’t try hard enough to put you off last time out, and we once again had Mr Owen Wright grace us with his presence, welcome back.

A good field of 14 showed up so the competition was definitely on for young and old, but the season is already beginning to look interesting with Paul Wellington & David Geils showing the early consistency.

NTP on the 10th – Peter Johnston.

NTP on the 12^th – David Geils.

Mens Long drive 14^th – David Geils.

Ladies Long drive 14^th – alas, no ladies made the game.

1^st place on 40 points – David Geils. (Will one of the old guard ever win again?)

2^nd place on 39 points – Paul Wellington (Somebody has to stop him)

3^rd place on 35 points – Ash Misra

2016 Fixtures

REDCLIFFE GAME 07.02.2016

Wow, 2016 season has started already, where the hell did 2015 go?

A really pleasing 19 players for the first round, with a few new faces and many very old looking ones, returning to try out for what could be considered the fifth major the “Fed Up Cup”

I suspect many of you may not have picked up a club in anger since last season, which meant anyone who may have rolled a couple in on the practice green or indeed had a stretch when they got out of bed was always going to have a head start on the rest of the field, so that would have been Jarrod, Paul W & David G.

Thanks to those who managed to drag some new blood into the ranks, we will always try to make newbie’s welcome, whilst trying to de-moralise, heckle & generally give them as much grief as possible in order to put them off their game (I did mention this is the fifth major, so no quarter is given) 

So a big welcome to Paul Scroggie, David Geils, Mark Glancy and Tim Czalkowski, hope to have the pleasure of your company again soon.
